Chapter 59 - HIBI

Yuna could feel that Eunho’s face was extremely close to hers. She instantly thought of their accidental kiss from a few days ago. She was constantly on the go; she didn’t think about it. Now that they were only inches apart, she could only think about that kiss. Yuna was so flustered she found herself frozen in place.

Eunho noticed that Yuna’s body was frozen, and her reaction was a bit stiff. He felt guilty for cornering her against the wall. He backed away from her and gave her space. He then continued to speak to her, “Just know that I won’t allow you to find a different teacher. The only way for you to learn martial arts is through me.”

Yuna frowned, “I don’t understand why I have to be stuck trying to get trained by you when I don’t need to be trained by the best. I just want to learn martial arts to defend myself in dangerous situations.” Eunho disagreed, “You’re only thinking about learning martial arts, you aren’t thinking about the level these assassins are at. They’re extremely skilled and could potentially be stronger than Namjoo or any normal teacher. I don’t believe that any simple teacher could help you.”

Eunho had a point. Yuna didn’t know martial arts, so she had no clue how strong the assassins were. She wouldn’t know whether Eunho was telling the truth or if he was only saying that to get her to rely on him only. She was confused as to why he would do that. She couldn’t help but wonder if Eunho had an ulterior motive. What could be the reason why Eunho refused to let anyone else become her teacher?

Yuna complained, “Then what am I supposed to do?” Eunho felt sorry to her for being unreasonable. He didn’t like the idea of her fighting men bigger than her, but he also didn’t like the idea of her thinking of him as an unreasonable man. He didn’t want to be seen as a controlling and manipulative guy. He had no clue how to deal with girls.

Eunho decided that it was best if he followed her wishes. He stated, “I’ll teach you martial arts and I won’t make you follow the training regimen in only a month, but I do expect you to be able to do 1,000 push-ups, 1,000 pull-ups, 1,000 sit ups, and the 30-mile run in the future. A martial artist must always strive for the best. Without the drive, not many can get far.”

Although Eunho seemed strict and stubborn with his ideals, he also had an understanding side to him. She didn’t fully understand why he didn’t want her to learn martial arts, but it seemed that he was willing to teach her. Maybe he wasn’t as stubborn as she thought. “If you’re willing to teach me, I guess Namjoo oppa doesn’t need to train me anymore.” (oppa means brother in korean. The older male doesn’t have to be a blood related older brother.)

Eunho felt his insides turn when he heard the word ‘oppa’. She never called him ‘oppa’! How can that punk be called oppa and he couldn’t? Just imagining Yuna calling him ‘oppa’ made his heart flutter. He felt like punching the little brat for letting Yuna call him oppa.

Namjoo on the other hand, was enjoying her meal that had arrived at the table not too long ago. She suddenly felt a burning gaze directed towards her back. Namjoo turned around to find Eunho glaring at her like the god of hell. Her body naturally began quivering after looking at his fierce glare. Her life was over.

She had no clue what they were talking about because she tuned out most of their conversation after their love squabble. Looking at how General Eunho was only glaring and not trying to kill her meant that whatever Yuna said must’ve caused a misunderstanding. She had no doubt that Yuna had said something to trigger his jealousy. There was no other explanation. It was way too obvious that the general had a one-sided crush on Yuna.

Namjoo knew the way to getting out of this situation and that involved Yuna. It seems that she has finally discovered the general’s weakness. His weakness was Yuna. It brought joy to Namjoo’s heart to finally be able to see Eunho struggle with his one-sided love. Namjoo remembered all the times she struggled under General Eunho’s strict training.

She still struggled with his training even now. He was relentless to his soldiers. Regardless of their positions, he would crack down on them with his strict training on the daily.

Namjoo questioned, “So what seems to be the problem? Are you upset that I started eating without you?” Eunho felt the anger within him flare up when Namjoo acted so cluelessly. Namjoo was shocked to find that Eunho was already next to him and whispering in her ear, “How do you know Yuna? What is your relationship with her?”

Namjoo laughed, “We just met a few hours ago. We just coincidentally ended up shopping together. Is there something wrong with that?” Eunho couldn’t believe what he was hearing. How was it possible for them to be so close when they had just met? It infuriated him when he thought about the progress of his relationship with Yuna. It seemed that their relationship was moving at a turtle’s speed.

Yuna was shocked to see Eunho’s reaction to her statement. Did she say something wrong? Why was he bothering Namjoo? Yuna joined them at the table and began nibbling on her food while trying to eavesdrop. Unluckily for her, she couldn’t hear anything they were saying.

Eunho’s chilling voice responded in Namjoo’s ear, “Regardless of how you met her, I don’t want you around her anymore, got it?” Namjoo rubbed her ear and frowned, “Could you stop whispering? She’s sitting right in front of us, you know.” Eunho smiled nervously at Yuna and sat down next to Namjoo.

He spoke to Yuna, “Don’t worry about what I was saying to him. Namjoo is just one of the many soldiers I’ve trained. Since we’re already here, why not eat dinner together?” He pointed at the steaming dishes that covered the table artfully. Yuna was shocked to find that the dishes in restaurants in this world were so unique.

She expected the food to be mediocre because this world wasn’t as advanced, and she never dined out before in this world. Surprisingly, the food’s appearance was on par with the 5-star restaurants on earth. After becoming a successful CEO of an engineering company, she was used to dining out in these restaurants. She hardly had much of an appetite ever since she reincarnated into this world. She didn’t think that restaurants in this world would be able to make delicious cuisine. She was wrong.

The reason for Yuna’s small stature was mainly because she had a taste for fine cuisine. The chefs back home were incapable of recreating the dishes served at this tavern. Yuna wasn’t entirely in charge of the staff in the Kim Residence. The chefs weren’t half as talented as the chefs that worked in the tavern. She only wished that she could replace the chefs back home.

Yuna sat down and feasted on the dishes. Eunho watched as Yuna stuffed her face with food. She looked so cute, he wanted to pinch her cheeks filled with food. Yuna continued to enjoy the many different dishes without caring about the two people staring at her. They hardly touched their plate because they were too busy admiring how adorable Yuna was when she ate.

Eunho caught Namjoo giving Yuna the same stare he was. He had no clue that Namjoo was only looking at Yuna as if she was a cute little sister. Eunho’s misunderstanding of their relationship grew. He didn’t expect that he’d have a rival so soon. In his last life, Yuna was taken away from him by Minho. It looks like in this life, it might be Namjoo. He needed to do something about this quick.
